About us...
L2O is an independent robotics team, based in Bath (UK) that is competing in the First Lego League (FLL), an international competition with over 40,000 teams from 98 different countries. In our team, there are 6 members aged 13-16, attending two of the local schools, Ralph Allen and Beechen Cliff.

In the 2017-18 season, the team progressed through the tournaments to the international finals in Hungary, achieving 1st place in Programming, as well as being nominated for the Research Award.

The FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) is an international competition for 9-16 year olds which is split up into 4 parts.
► The 1st requires teams to come up with a solution to a real world problem, based on a theme introduced every August. They must develop their solutions, talk to experts in the field, and create a 5 minute presentaion to pitch to the judges at the competition.#
► The 2nd is the robot game. Each team is given a mat with numerous LEGO® mission models to complete which may involve pushing, delivering, or collecting items from around the mat. All this must be done in 2 ½ minutes with a LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robot which the teams have to design, construct, program, and test.
► The 3rd aspect is the robot design. Teams are scored on their robot's design features rather than the number of points it can achieve and this encourages teams to think about how their robot is built.
► The 4th and final part of FLL is core values, which judges teams on how well they tackle problems, support each other, and work together.
